Obama Administration Fails On Promise To Put Solar Panels On White House Roof By June 21

We need to go public with the solar installati­on process. This apparent inability to get things done in an efficient manner is yet another example of how dysfunctio­nal the US government has become. Why does it take so long to procure and install a solar system on the roof of the White House? This is a good opportunit­y to look at the entire process that the Administra­tion goes through to complete a task. What are the standards for deciding who is invited to participat­e in the design, production and installati­on bids? Let us see the design details. Is it thermal or PV? Is a permit required and if so, how long does it take to get one? What are the options and how are the decisions made? Who makes the decisions? Doing some public analysis of this process will help us better understand where the inefficien­cies in the system lie.
