Cal State ‘Super Seniors’ Targeted With Hefty Fees

When I heard this story on the news I could not stand to listen to it. This is the ultimate in punish the victim actions. A little background for those of you who haven’t been in school lately. Administrators have cut required classes so students can’t get into them to graduate. While waiting for the required courses they are taking electives to stay in the program and keep their grade point average up. Now officials who cut the classes are blaming students for taking too long to graduate and threatening them with higher fees? This is like fining drivers for not taking public transit systems that don’t exist by charging them higher parking rates. Where does “blame the victim” end?
