Got Science? A ‘Green Tea Party’ May Be Brewing

Thanks for describing the position that big energy companies are finding themselves in. They are fighting back with the help of politicians who are trying to pass legislation in their favor.

In California that fight has taken on the form of “infill” projects that claim to reduce greenhouse gasses by building tall buildings near public transportation, forcing residents to be dependent on big energy companies for their all energy needs for decades to come.

The theory is that single family homes are bad and dense housing is good for the environment. This plan is not popular for many reasons and is now under attack in the courts. For once the media is not taking a one-sided approach. We expect to see much more on the subject in the coming months.
