Capping off the end of Transit Week, van collides with Muni train, injuring 4

Transit Week celebrations hit yet another pothole Friday when a commuter bus and a Muni train collided at 9:25 a.m., injuring four people, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.

“It appears a van made a left turn in front of the train when contact was made,” said SFMTA spokesperson Paul Rose.

The outbound KT line train collided with a commuter bus at Third and Mission Rock streets in the Mission Bay neighborhood. Two operators and two passengers were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Rose said… (more)

Let’s hope this ends before Fleet Week begins. Our bad luck Muni needs to be put out of its misery to stop the contagion from spreading.
