The Trillion-dollar Coin: Joke or Game Changer?

Any change that will remove the constant media hysteria over the debt ceiling would be welcome. The country needs a national conversation about the authorities granted by the Constitution to the three pillars of power – the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches. We need to investigate how those powers have been used and how they can be used differently. An historical perspective, rather than a hysterical one is always a good start.
